TikTok Inspired Skowhegan Car Break-ins

19-year-old Jonathan Viles of Waterville and a A 15-year-old suspect are looking at charges in a string of car break-ins in Skowhegan.

Officials say the incidences may have been inspired by a TikTok trend.

According to the CentralMaine.com, Viles told investigators he and the other teen broke into at least one car using instructions they learned from a TikTok video on how to steal Kia and Hyundai vehicles.
