The City of Augusta is has announced the launch of a new “Citizen Alert System,” designed to improve communication with residents, ensuring they receive timely and critical information.
This system will provide notifications about emergencies, public safety alerts, road closures, severe weather, and general community updates.
However, please note that users must opt-in, as their information will not transfer automatically from the old alert system. This upgrade improves the functionality and reliability of
communications, but it requires all residents to re-register to stay connected.
