Last night, Aug. 10, investigators from the Fire Marshal’s Office responded to an explosion that occurred at 441 Shore Road in Sinclair.
The owner of the residence was home at the time, and had to be transported to a local hospital. They are being treated for what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The residence is a complete loss. The explosion also caused a second residence to catch fire. The second residence was occupied at the time, but the homeowner was able to get out safely. That residence is also a complete loss.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation. Investigators will be on scene all day interviewing witnesses and processing the scene.
