Fatal Crash on I-95 in Sidney

The Maine State Police is investigating a fatal crash in Sidney. The deceased is 69-year-old Philip Marson of Gardiner.

On Thursday, January 16, 2025, at approximately 7:01 am, Troopers from Troop I responded to I-95 southbound near mile marker 117 in Sidney for the report of a motor vehicle crash. A white Nissan pickup was reported to be into the trees in the median. Upon arrival, Troopers determined the operator, 69-year-old Philip Marson of Gardiner, to be deceased. There were no other occupants in the vehicle. The crash is still under investigation; however, speed appears to be a factor. The Sidney Fire Department and Ready Road Tow Service assisted on scene..
