Spridal Hubiak, 21, is accused of killing a co-worker, 52-year-old Angela Bragg at Damon’s Beverage in Waterville last year.
Yesterday, Aug. 27, a guilty plea was denied by a judge because Hubiak was going against the advice of his attorney.
Hubiak now will undergo a competency evaluation. His next court appearance will be Oct. 11.
