Lewiston Police are investigating a reckless shootout between two groups of teenagers and young adults that sent bullets into nearby vehicles and buildings Sunday afternoon, May 10.
Officers responded to the area of Ash Street and Howe Street after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they located numerous shell casings at the scene. Witnesses told police that two groups of teens and young adults were shooting at each other. No one was injured in the incident, but several bullets struck parked vehicles and nearby buildings, causing property damage.
Police have arrested and charged 21-year-old Jayden Shaw with the following felonies:
- Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon
- Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person
- Aggravated Criminal Mischief
The investigation remains active, and authorities say additional suspects are being sought.
