State Rep. Laurel Libby (R-Auburn) last night was censured on the the House floor after a 75-70 vote. Libby now is no longer allowed to speak in the House or represent her constituents in any votes.
She was censured for violating the Legislative code of ethics, having to do with a Facebook post she made that included a transgender student, who recently won a state championship in the girl’s pole vault.
The Maine Democrat Majority has just moved to censure me, for speaking out against their failure to protect Maine girls and keep biological males out of girls' sports.
Let me be clear: I will not be silenced and I will not allow the voices of Maine girls to be silenced. pic.twitter.com/Zdy2usGuo6

A Maine lawmaker has lost her ability to vote at the State House after she was censured by her colleagues for violating the legislative code of ethics. It stems from a post she made about transgender athletes playing in women’s sports.
