Auburn Police yesterday, Nov. 5, were called to TD Bank, at 10 Great Falls Plaza, for a reported stabbing that had taken place outside of the bank.
Reports are that a 23-year-old man from Lewiston walked into the bank reporting that he had been stabbed during an altercation outside of the bank. APD Officers and Detectives conducted a canvas of the area.
They located, identified, and detained Walter Hawkins, 34, a transient. Hawkins was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
The victim was treated on scene and transported to Central Maine Medical Center with a non-life-threatening stab wound to his abdomen.
