The New England Patriots, who just yesterday announced a parting of ways with legendary coach Bill Belichick, today announced that Jerod Mayo will be their next head coach.
Mayo has been their linebacker coach and played for the team for 8 years. At 37, he also becomes the youngest head coach in the NFL.
An introductory press conference is likely to happen early next week.
