Bangor Man Arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Minor

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Shawn Fleming of Bangor, has been charged for the sexual exploitation of a minor victim.

After receiving the complaint, an investigation revealed additional victims and serious child sexual exploitation offenses that had taken place over several years.

This is an ongoing investigation.

From the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office:

On March 20, 2026, as a result of the investigation, Shawn Fleming was arrested by the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division for five counts of Gross Sexual Assault (Class A), Unlawful Sexual Contact (Class C , ten counts of Visual Sexual Aggression Against a Child (Class C), and Solicitation of a Child to Commit a Prohibited Act (Class C). Fleming remains at the Penobscot County Jail.
